How to drill-down in D365fo SSRS report.

 In this blog we will see how we can create a drill-down report through precision design  in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

  • We will simply create a RDP report or Query report.
  • In report data source we will provide our dataset (Figure 1.1).

  • We will create a precision design and add the grouping on required fields. In my case I have BDA, Sales man, Month and Customer account as you will see in Figure attached below (Figure1.2).

  • Now we will look how to add toggle item regarding to the group we have added in our design.
  • Our first group is BDA and we will set our Group properties as follow.
                            
  • After that ,for our Sales Taker group property we will add toggle item as BDA .
  • For Month Name group  we will add toggle item as our Sales Taker group.

  • Our last group which is Cust Account we will add toggle item our  Month Name group.

  • After adding toggle items now we have to disable Report PDF feature from the Finance and Operation Environment.

        Firstly  , we have to go to feature management to enable the “Report PDF”  feature .I have added visuals for better understanding.

   
  • Now, when are into feature management view form ,we have to select “All By using Search filter we will search for “ Report Pdf ” .

  • Now , you will “Report PDF” and its “Feature state” will be set to “Mandatory” .But we will check for updates to make it “Enable \ Disable” the feature. After checking for updates the “Feature state ” will be “on by default".



  •         After performing the steps defined in last point now we can enable and disable this feature.



  •        Now we have to disable this property to finally achieve our required goal.


This is how we can achieve Drill-Down in D365fo x++.
